This year, El Premio de la Gente and the Latin Business Association (LBA) are partnering to foster further growth in the Latino business community. All El Premio de la Gente attendees will receive a free ticket to attend the LBA National Latino Business Expo.

Chevrolet, presenting sponsor and the official vehicle of El Premio de la Gente, is driving the newest, hottest stars across the country and inviting consumers to help name the "Chevrolet New Artist of the Year." To showcase the artists, Chevrolet is hosting events in Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Detroit and New York.

“Our partnership with El Premio is a fantastic way to bring Chevy’s hot vehicles and music heritage to the Hispanic community,” said Kim Kosak, Chevrolet general director of advertising and sales promotion. “Music is a strong part of Chevrolet’s tradition, so it's natural for us to sponsor a program that provides Latino artists with well deserved recognition.”

Garnier also joins El Premio de la Gente this year as a new sponsor who promises to glam the red carpet and give fans an up close view of the excitement of El Premio de la Gente. Garnier is launching a national sweepstakes, offering a winner and guest a trip to Los Angeles for an exclusive all access, VIP experience at El Premio de la Gente. From the red carpet to the exclusive after party, the winner and a guest will enjoy El Premio in style with a Garnier makeover. The grand prize winner will be awarded a trip for two to Los Angeles, hotel accommodations and red carpet access so they can meet and greet their favorite stars.

“There has been incredible growth of the U.S. Hispanic population, and it is absolutely the wave of the future. It has been a key strategy for Garnier to find a sponsorship program that would really connect with this growing audience,” said Daniel Villarroel, Senior Marketing Manager, Garnier Fructis. “We wanted a program that was youthful, high-impact and authentic, that would speak to the Latino community in a way that truly resonated. We are so excited about sponsoring El Premio de la Gente because like Garnier, it is dynamic, unique, and all about the people.”

Fans may enter the Garnier sweepstakes by casting their vote through the mail ballots to arrive in-home on August 15.
