salsa in France! (Congress, and Orville Small!)

salsa in France! (Congress, and Orville Small!)

      hallo, hola, hello...

just a note to announce the latest update to salsafrance.com/english - a new section of salsafrance.com that is written in english, and designed to give you a glimpse of the way that we live salsa in France.

This month's edition has an interview with Orville Small, and also short articles on the Mondial de la salsa (which will take place on the weekend of June 9-12 in Paris), and the world premiere of Salsamor Fever, a salsa musical!

Please visit the site often and send along any suggestions you might have for future articles - we look forward to welcoming you to France! :)
      Hi Feliz!

      It's really a great site!
I loved your "Portraits of Salseros" :gut: :gut: :gut:
I even think, I saw some examples of them - the "King of the Dancefloor" (As you said, never on the dancefloor itself ;)) , "The Salsaholic", "The Cheapskate" (We have lots of them, if you need some objects for your studies - you're welcome :D) and - even if it might be a contradiction in terms - "The Invisible Man"!
Hope, there're some "Portraits of Salseras" following! It might be very instructive for us ladies!
Arguing on the Internet is like running in Special Olympics - even if you win, you're still a retard
      hallo! :)

i'm glad you like the site! we're publishing the portraits of salseros (written by our publisher Jack el Oso and a few other people on the french salsa forum, i only got to translate them, but agree that they're great!) little by little, and next month we will indeed have some famous Ladies up in the spotlight as well. :D

a class with Orville would be great, i agree - i've never met him in person but just chatting with him on the phone convinced me that he's a great, genuine person - and is down with the music, which is a good place to be.

keep me posted if you have any ideas for articles or anything else you'd like to know about salsa in france! and also, please feel free to spread the link around! :)
      thanks!

just to keep you updated, there's a new interview with Cliford and Valérie of Salsabor on Salsafrance.com's english section. Cliford is most likely the 'man who brought mambo to Paris', and with Valérie, runs the highly-respected Salsabor dance school. They're also the creators of Salsamor Fever, the salsa-opera set to live music!
