About the New Swing:
The New Swing Sextet has a rich musical history. This band was founded in the 1960's and took over the scene by surprise with a unique, swinging sound. The most important feature of this group is the use of vibes, which creates a smooth, jazzy sound. Music by New Swing Sextet has had a big contribution in the development of the "Mambo Virus" that has taken over the whole salsa scene. After a break of more than 30 years the members have reunited to recreate magic! Their latest album "Back on the Streets" is very successful and proves that New Swing still has it's "old swing"!
